Jack Ma of Chinese super company Alibaba is "very interested" in buying Yahoo, largely because Yahoo has owns a big piece of Alibaba, and Ma wants control of that piece. The Amazon Kindle Fire's parts are now estimated to cost just $150, which suggests it could be turning a profit on each device sold. AirBnB's founders are paying themselves a $21 million dividend from the latest round of funding they've raised. This allows them to cash out without diluting themselves. Google is getting the retail business too, opening a small store in London. Yahoo has a big press conference this morning, which seems to have to do with Yahoo Video. Rovio, the parent company of Angry Birds, has lost its top branding executive, a bit of a shock considering how much of the game is built on its various branding efforts. News Corp.'s iPad only newspaper, The Daily, has just 80,000 paying subscribers. Hulu's owners might not sell after seeing a bunch of weak bids. Morale at Twitter is low because it is losing engineers, and it is trying to justify its $8 billion valuation, according to a big takeout on Twitter in New York Magazine.
