24-Hours At Walmart: A Time-Lapse Video (VIDEO)

Think of the hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales were spent by those "ants" (i.e. customers) at that Wal-Mart on that day. Then, multiply by the number of stores in the chain x 24/7/365, and wallah!, you've got the retail Goliath that is Wal-Mart today.

Oil Spill Volunteers Growing Impatient With BP

OK, I understand liability concerns as a management prof, but.....how many hours of training should you need to pick-up dead or dying fish and animals from the beach to take them to the proper facility. Principal Asks Parents To Ban Facebook, Social Networking

As a parent of kiddos in this age range, I see how much tech is indeed changing their lives - for bad, yes, but also for good. Balance is the key, and yes, it is absolutely critical for parents to REALLY talk to their kids - not just text them back! Remember the old management advice for the workplace (which parents, don't forget at home), "hi tech also means hi touch!"

Watch a good overview of the story and an interview with Principal Tony Orsini below:

and the article below also contains the principal's letter to the school's parents:
