Interviews & Employment

From Alison Doyle, your Guide to Job Searching
Job interviews aren't easy, even if you have gone on plenty of them. Here are tips on how to prepare for a job interview, how to impress the interviewer, and how to follow up after an interview.

Interview Questions and Answers
Job interviews are always stressful - even for job seekers who have gone on countless interviews. The best way to reduce the stress is to be prepared. Take the time to review the "standard" interview questions you will most likely be asked. Also review sample answers to these typical interview questions.

Types of Interview Questions
When you go on a job interview there are a variety of types of interview questions you'll be asked. You'll be asked about your employment history, your ability to work on a team, your leadership skills, your motivation, as well as interview questions related to your skills, abilities, and qualifications for the job.

Job Interview Etiquette
.Knowing proper job interview etiquette is an important part of successful interviewing. How you dress, what you bring to a job interview, how you greet the interviewer, and how you communicate can all make a big difference in the outcome of the interview.

Job Interview Follow Up
You have just left a job interview and it's a position you would love to be offered. What can you do next to help ensure that you get a second interview or a job offer? The most important thing you can do is to follow up to reiterate your interest in the position and to thank the interviewer for taking the time to meet with you.
