A "Win" for the Construction Industry Against Taxpayers in Texas by Banning Reverse Auctions on Public Building Projects in the State

Bad news for Texas taxpayers, as the construction lobby has won a round in the Legislature there in their seemingly constant fight against the "evils" of reverse auctioning. The Texas Legislature passed and Gov. Rick Perry signed into law H.B. 628, which bans the use of reverse auctions on public projects that require a bond. See details in the article below:

We'll keep you informed on such matters, but needless to say, the construction lobby - led by groups such as the American Subcontractors Association do continue to fight against the rising tide of reverse auctioning in the public sector, as witnessed by the industry's recent successes both in Texas and Ohio.
