BREAKING NEWS: Weekly Jobless Claims Unexpectedly Rise

New claims for unemployment benefits rose to 402,000 last week from an upwardly-revised 396,000 the week before. Economists had anticipated a drop to 390,000 from an initial reading of 393,000.
