At least one draft expert believes Andrew Luck is the best college prospect since John Elway. And that is fitting since both quarterbacks played at Stanford. And if the Colts draft Luck in next year's draft, they will be happy if Luck duplicates Elway's five Super Bowl appearances and two championships.
In fact, Luck has a chance to carry on the Stanford tradition. No school has produced more Super Bowl quarterbacks than Stanford (7; Elway 5, Jim Plunkett 2). Notre Dame (7) and Purdue (6) are the only other schools that even have more than four.
If Luck can make it to a Super Bowl, Stanford could make a claim as Quarterback U.
