Below is a look at the average passing yards per game for the top 15 passing teams each season. What we see is that passing was already on the rise over the last ten years. But last year things really took off. We recently looked at how, in the new NFL, teams must pass the ball in order to win. Running the ball just doesn't cut it anymore.
