The Runaway Growth Of Mobile Broadband

The past decade was an era fueled by the growth of wired broadband, where speedy home Internet connections fueled the growth of e-commerce and social networks. New forecasts from Ovum, a research firm, show that we're entering the next Internet era, where mobile broadband is becoming far more lucrative. In 2014, telecommunications companies will make more money from mobile broadband than from fixed broadband for the first time. That, in turn, will enable entirely new Internet business opportunities.
