Thyssen shares sink as U.S. deal fails to fix wider losses
FRANKFURT (Reuters) - ThyssenKrupp shares collapsed on Monday after the steelmaker's announcement of a buyer for only part of its loss-making Steel Americas unit left investors worried how much it still must do to extract itself from a business that is costing it billions.
India's Wipro to buy U.S. mortgage services firm for $75 million
BANGALORE (Reuters) - Wipro Ltd. , India's No. 3 IT services provider, has agreed to purchase U.S.-based mortgage services provider Opus Capital Markets Consultants LLC for $75 million to boost its offerings for financial services clients.
Cevian raises stake in Volvo to 10.5 percent of votes
STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Activist fund Cevian Capital said on Monday it had bought 25 million A-shares in AB Volvo , the world's second biggest truck maker, to put its stake at 10.5 percent of votes.
Hilton to raise up to $2.37 billion in IPO
(Reuters) - Hotel operator Hilton Worldwide Inc, controlled by private equity firm Blackstone Group LP , said its initial public offering would raise up to $2.37 billion, valuing the company at about $20.7 billion.
South Africa's Bidvest bids $393 million for stake in Adcock
JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa's Bidvest offered to buy about a third of local drugmaker Adcock on Monday in a $393 million deal that could scupper Chile's CFR Pharmaceutical's $1.2 bid for the Johannesburg-based firm.
