In the most important press conference of his career, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will today address the revelation that his officials intentionally closed lanes of the George Washington Bridge to create traffic problems for the mayor of Fort Lee, New Jersey, who did not endorse him for re-election. With the full scope of the scandal visible, The Daily Beast's Michael Daly visits the very town Christie's cronies tied up.

MOVING ON

According a statement from Dennis Rodman's public relations firm, the former basketball player is apologizing for comments he made about imprisoned U.S. missionary Kenneth Bae. "I embarrassed a lot of people. I'm very sorry. At this point I should know better than to make political statements. I'm truly sorry." The PR firm said Rodman had been drinking on a stressful day when he made the comments on CNN. Not one for long apologies, Rodman is now allegedly on a plane where he is to headed to a new, multimillion-dollar ski resort in North Korea.

Price Cut

In a series of moves the company expects will save it $100 million a year, Macy's will lay off 2,500 workers and close five stores. In the wake of the cuts, Macy's shares went up more than 6 percent in after-hours trading. Following the changes, Macy's, which also operates Bloomingdale's, will employ about 170,000 associates in 844 stores.
