BREAKING NEWS: Amazon 3Q Results Well Short of Views, Shares Plunge

Amazon.com said after the bell Tuesday that third-quarter net income came in well short of what Wall Street was expecting, and the stock is selling off sharply. The company earned 14 cents a share on revenue of $10.88 billion, while Wall Street was looking for earnings of 24 cents a share on revenue of $10.95 billion. The stock is off about 15% in after-hours trading.
