From Dawn Rosenberg McKay, your Guide to Career Planning
Bad manners annoy me. There I said said it. I don't like when people neglect to say "thank you" after you've held the door open. I can't stand it if someone doesn't say "please" when he or she asks you for something. And my number one pet peeve has to do with an unnamed co-worker who would ask for a bite of whatever happened to be your lunch that day.

Rules for Using Cell Phones at Work
Oh, here's another one. It bothers me when someone talks so loudly on a cell phone you could swear they think they are in their own kitchen rather than in a public space. Are you aware of proper cell phone etiquette at work?

Respecting Your Co-Workers
Your co-workers deserve your respect. You may not realize it, but some of the little things you do may be driving your office mates crazy. Take for example that dirty coffee cup you left in the sink ... again.

Email Etiquette
Email messages can be short and sweet, but they shouldn't be abrupt. If you are asking for something, don't forget to say please. If you are writing to someone you don't know well, you should address them by title, for example Mr. or Ms., rather than by first name.

Don't Make Your Co-Worker's Sick
Everyone knows how important it is for you to get that project done on time. However, if you are sick with something others can catch, think about staying home until you're well. It's 2011. You may even be able to work from home if you're feeling up to it.
