BREAKING NEWS: New Home Sales Fall for First Time Since August 2011

Sales of new U.S. single-family homes fell 2.2% in December to a 307,000-unit annualized rate. Economists had been expecting sales to climb to an annualized rate of 320,000. This was the first sales decline since August 2011 and the largest drop since July 2011.
