According to a new report from mobile analytics firm Flurry, Android's monetization falls far behind iOS, and now newcomer Amazon, as well. For every dollar of iOS revenues, developers only get 23 cents from Android. On the other hand, they receive 89 cents from the Amazon Appstore; almost 4 times the level of Android. Android has a serious fragmentation problem that is hindering app monetization. There are so many software updates and phones that developers don't know what they're developing for. With every update the problem gets worse, and developers are increasingly training their eyes elsewhere to get paid.
