Qatar builds up Xstrata stake ahead of Glencore deal
DUBAI (Reuters) - Qatar's sovereign wealth fund has increased its stake in Xstrata to just over 5 percent, potentially making it easier for commodities trader Glencore to buy the Anglo-Swiss miner.
AOL to sell 800 patents to Microsoft for $1 billion
(Reuters) - AOL Inc said it would sell over 800 of its patents and related applications to Microsoft Corp , and would grant Microsoft a non-exclusive license to the patents it retains, for slightly over $1 billion in cash.
Fujikura to buy telecom gear firm Nistica
TOKYO (Reuters) - Japanese electric wire and cable maker Fujikura Ltd said on Monday that it plans to buy U.S. telecom equipment firm Nistica Inc, as it looks to expand in optical equipment for high-speed networks.
KSL raises Great Wolf bid, challenging Apollo
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Private equity firm KSL Corp raised its bid for Great Wolf Resorts Inc by 12 percent to $234 million as it works to top rival buyout group Apollo Global Management in their battle to acquire North America's largest operator of indoor water parks.

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India's Reliance MediaWorks , controlled by billionaire Anil Ambani, is in talks to sell stake in some of its movie theatres to Mexico's multiplex operator Cinepolis, the Business Standard newspaper reported on Monday.
GNF in talks to buy BG stake in Gujarat Gas: source
MUMBAI (Reuters) - Spanish utility Gas Natural Fenosa is in talks with BG Group Plc to buy the UK oil and gas company's 65 percent stake in India's Gujarat Gas , a source with direct knowledge of the matter said on Sunday, in a deal valued at about $900 million.

DHAKA (Reuters) - Bangladesh says U.S. energy firm ConocoPhillips is seeking to expand operations in the Bay of Bengal following a U.N. tribunal border ruling which cleared the way for more offshore oil and gas exploration in the region.

DUBAI, April 8 - Abu Dhabi National Energy Co (TAQA) sold its 7-percent stake in electric carmarker Tesla Motors Inc on the stock market, booking a profit of $113 million, the state-owned energy and utility firm said on Sunday.
Zimbabwe happy with Amplats ownership plan: Minister
HARARE (Reuters) - Zimbabwe is happy with a plan proposed by Anglo American Platinum , the world's top producer of the precious metal, to sell a 51 percent shareholding in its Unki project to locals in terms of the country's empowerment law, a minister said on Sunday.
Clal Insurance plans to sell U.S. unit for $218 million
TEL AVIV (Reuters) - Israel's Clal Insurance Enterprises Holdings said on Sunday it has signed a non-binding letter of intent to sell its subsidiary Clal U.S. Holdings Inc for $218 million.
