Britain's former Labour prime minister, Tony Blair, has denied allegations that his relationship with Rupert Murdoch influenced national policy making. A protester called the former PM a "war criminal."

Two Tibetans set themselves on fire in anti-China protest
Two Tibetan monks have set themselves alight in Lhasa in protest at Chinese rule. The incident is the latest in a series of self-immolations by Tibetans angry at what they see as cultural and religious repression.

Manmohan Singh is the first Indian premier to visit Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, in 25 years. Analysts say that India is stepping up efforts to woo the resource-rich nation and counter China's influence.
