Shell extends Cove offer deadline
LONDON (Reuters) - Oil major Royal Dutch Shell extended the deadline on Thursday for shareholder acceptances for its $1.8 billion offer for Cove Energy to June 27.

MANILA (Reuters) - Diversified conglomerate San Miguel Corp wants to expand its airline business via a regional acquisition and by growing its fleet as it seeks to reclaim the top position its unit Philippine Airlines lost to budget carrier rivals.
FXCM to buy 50 percent stake in privately held trading firm
(Reuters) - Online foreign exchange trading services provider FXCM Inc will buy a 50 percent stake in privately held market-making and trading company Lucid Markets for about $176 million, net of Lucid cash, to boost FXCM's institutional business.

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - Turkish furniture maker Dogtas is in the final stage of selling a 50 percent stake to an investor from the Gulf, chairman Davut Dogan told Reuters on Thursday.
Costco to buyout partner in Mexican unit
(Reuters) - Costco Wholesale Corp said it would buy the remaining 50 percent stake in its Mexican unit from joint venture partner Comercial Mexicana for 10.7 billion pesos ($766.79 million).
Acron determined to continue bid for Polish rival
WARSAW (Reuters) - Russia's Acron said on Thursday it was determined to go ahead with its 1.5 billion zloty ($438 million) bid for Poland's top chemicals group Azoty Tarnow despite the Polish government's unwillingness to sell its 32 percent stake.
Telefonica buys Prisa bonds with eye on stake
MADRID (Reuters) - Spanish telecoms firm Telefonica will buy 100 million euros ($126 million) of convertible bonds in indebted media company Prisa with an eye to owning a stake in the firm.
Maurel et Prom CEO dismisses Shell takeover report
PARIS (Reuters) - The head of French oil producer Maurel et Prom dismissed speculation that Anglo-Dutch oil group Royal Dutch Shell had approached it about a possible takeover, sending its shares down as much as 8.5 percent on Thursday.
Tinkler seeks $2.5 billion debt for Whitehaven bid: sources
SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australian coal magnate Nathan Tinkler, who has offered to buy out Whitehaven Coal , is trying to line up at least $2.5 billion in debt from banks including UBS and JPMorgan , two sources said on Thursday.
