By: Jamie Weinstein David Duke's back and this time he's black -- Rehberg for insolvency 2012 -- Lunacy, thy name is Pelosi -- Rubio the family man -- Poll of the Day: Americans disapprove of Obama on economy --Tweet of Yesterday | 1.) David Duke's back and this time he's black -- And a Democrat. Candidate Charles Barron, who doesn't like Jews very much, has received support from a racist icon, reports TheDC's Neil Munro: "The Democratic Party is facing an awkward problem Thursday because white supremacist David Duke has endorsed a leading candidate in the Democratic Party’s primary race for a New York House seat. Duke says he’s endorsing Charles Barron, the leading candidate for the new 8th district primary on June 26, because of their shared enmity toward 'zionists.'" It seems odd that Duke, a white supremacist, would endorse a black candidate for Congress. But they both hate Jews. And as the saying goes, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. | 2.) Rehberg for insolvency 2012 -- While most GOP House members courageously voted for Paul Ryan's budget plan that would put America on a path to fiscal sustainability, Denny Rehberg didn't and is now campaigning on the fact as if it is a point of pride. TheDC's Alex Pappas reports: "It almost sounds like something you’d hear from the Democrats, but it isn’t. The Montana Republican Party paid for an ad praising the state’s GOP U.S. Senate candidate, Denny Rehberg, for voting against House Budget Committee chairman Paul Ryan’s budget in 2011." Great job, Denny! All we need is more of you in Congress to ensure our Republic goes to hell. | 3.) Lunacy, thy name is Pelosi -- House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi has an interesting theory as to why the GOP is targeting Eric Holder for his role in Operation Fast and Furious, reports TheDC's Nicholas Ballasy: "House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that House Republicans attempting to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress are part of a 'nationwide scheme to suppress the vote... 'These very same people who are holding him in contempt are part of a nationwide scheme to suppress the vote.'" Yes, Nancy, that makes so much sense. Or maybe it appears AG Holder is hiding many documents in Operation Fast and Furious. | 4.) Rubio the family man -- Rubio says he wasn't excluded from Mitt Romney's retreat, reports TheDC's Alex Pappas: "Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio said Thursday that he’s missing out on an exclusive Romney campaign retreat this weekend because he chose instead to spend the time with his children. 'It’s unfair to the Romney campaign to say I was excluded, because that’s not accurate,' Rubio told reporters on Thursday. 'I was invited to go.' ... The Florida senator explained during a Christian Science Monitor breakfast with reporters in Washington, D.C., on Thursday that he chose not to go because he’s been busy on his book tour. He said that going to Utah would keep him from seeing his children." | 5.) Poll of the Day: Americans disapprove of Obama on economy -- AP-GfK poll asks about Obama on the economy: Approve 44%, Disapprove 55%. | 6.)
