Silence, woman! -- History will never be the same again --  Debt explosion -- Jesse Jackson Jr., interior decorator? -- Poll of the Day: Race tied -- Tweet of Yesterday
1.) Silence, woman!  -- The Obama and Romney campaigns seem to expect that Tuesday night's debate moderator, Candy Crowley, will be barely seen and almost never heard --- at least, if she abides by the rules they've agreed upon. Both campaigns reportedly want the first woman presidential debate moderator in a generation to basically just point at questioners at the town hall debate. Some women's groups find that a tad bit offensive, reports TheDC's Vince Coglianese:

"The debate commission’s decision to give Crowley the only presidential debate where the moderator is expected to keep her mouth shut is rubbing some women’s groups the wrong way ... Amy Siskand, of The New Agenda, told The Daily Caller that she believes there is an effort to silence the one female moderator this year, and by extension, discussion of women’s issues. 'As the voting block which has determined every modern day election, it’s important that the women of this country have a voice,' Siskand told TheDC. 'The Debate Commission has finally included women, but in back seat roles — moderator of the vice presidential debate, again, and a relatively voiceless moderator.'"
2.) History will never be the same again -- One week ago today, “The Lizard King: The Shocking Inside Account of Obama’s True Intergalactic Ambitions By An Anonymous White House Staffer," was released and the world changed forever. We can never turn back from what the book revealed about the Obama administration, America and the world beyond. Without question, it is the most important book published by two Daily Caller writers since the Koran. If you have not read "The Lizard King," don't miss out on what everybody is talking about. Buy the book now, if not for you, then for the children.
3.) Debt explosion -- Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan is decrying the sharp increase in national debt under President Obama, reports TheDC's Nicholas Ballasy:

"Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan warned on Monday that President Barack Obama has put America on the 'path' to a debt crisis like the one 'plaguing' Europe ... Ryan said the governments of Italy and Greece have resorted to 'slashing health and retirement benefits for current seniors' and 'cranking up taxes.' 'The unemployment rate of youth in Italy and Greece is over 50 percent. They’re losing a whole generation of people. If we copy and follow European economics, we will copy and follow European results,' Ryan said."
4.) Jesse Jackson Jr., interior decorator? -- Jesse Jackson Jr. may be in trouble again, reports Betsi Fores for The Daily Caller News Foundation:

"Federal authorities have launched an investigation into whether Illinois Democratic Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. misused campaign funds to redecorate his home, according to the Wall Street Journal. Jackson’s lawyers met with federal prosecutors last week to try to dissuade them from seeking an indictment prior to the November election. Federal officials were able to make no such promise."

TheDC Morning has no idea whether the allegations against Jackson are true, but if it's now illegal to use campaign funds to redecorate your house in America, well, then we're no better than North Korea.
5.) Poll of the Day: Race tied --RealClearPolitics polling average of the presidential race: Mitt Romney 47.4%, President Obama 47.3%.
6.) Tweet of Yesterday -- Jonah Goldberg: Forget Beck Jeans, I'm waiting for George Will to come out with a line of "Tory Dungarees."

KNOW YOUR ROLE -- Only woman to moderate presidential debate in 2012 expected to keep her mouth shut

Documents: Despite Obama's claims, relationship with Rev. Wright began as early as 1987 -- Letters obtained by The Daily Caller indicate a working relationship between the two men on a political level when the future president was just 26 years old

Hillary Clinton shields Obama from Benghazi scandal -- The Secretary of State used an off-camera interview in Peru to take rhetorical responsibility for the Benghazi disaster --- and provide some political cover for her boss

Greg Lukianoff: How campus censorship makes us all a little bit dumber -- Censorship is teaching students all the wrong lessons about free speech and meaningful discourse.

Max Raskin: HBO's Real Waste of Time with Bill Maher -- Maher's self-professed superiority over dumb, religious rednecks is a veneer that belies his own unthinking dogmatism.

Mark Judge: The end of liberal Catholicism -- Fifty years after Vatican II, the Catholic left is played out.

Allison Davis: Why the GOP shouldn't write off states like Massachusetts -- The party needs to expand its appeal beyond the Midwest and South.

Jimmy LaSalvia: Why gay Americans, and those who care about gay Americans, should vote for Mitt Romney -- The Obama administration has been devastating for average gay people and their families.
