Malaysia sends troops to end Borneo stand-off
Malaysia has sent hundreds more soldiers to Borneo to end an occupation by a group from the Philippines trying to reclaim land. In February, about 200 members of the sect arrived to reclaim a historical sultanate.

Suicide blast at Shiite mosque kills scores in Pakistan
A suspected suicide bomber has killed scores of people as they were leaving a Shiite Muslim mosque in the southern Pakistani city of Karachi, according to officials. It is the city's deadliest attack in three years.
