BRUISING

The "Today" host tells Howard Kurtz that NBC mishandled Ann Curry's ouster and describes how the network is rebuilding the show. Plus, his secret talks with Katie Couric.

HIGH SECURITY?

The main suspect in the brutal gang rape of a young woman in Delhi has allegedly committed suicide in jail. Prison authorities say that the 33-year-old man—one of six charged with raping and fatally beating a woman on a bus in December—hanged himself from the grills of his high-security cell using only his clothes. At the time, however, there were other inmates present, as well as a guard. While the man is said to have been on suicide watch, the jail is being blamed for lax security. The man's father says that his son was murdered—and that he had been threatened many times while incarcerated.

WOMEN IN THE WORLD

I have seen too many young women held back by their mothers, just when they were starting to see their own promise. It's a brutal truth, writes Soledad O'Brien.

BLADERUNNER

Lawyers for Oscar Pistorius, the double-amputee Olympic runner accused of murdering his girlfriend, are appealing his bail conditions, calling them "unwarranted and not substantiated by the facts." Pistorius has insisted he shot and killed Reeva Steenkamp on February t14 because he mistook her for an intruder, but prosecutors have alleged that Pistorius killed her intentionally after an argument. In particular, Pistorius's lawyers take issue with the bail condition that requires Pistorius to surrender his passport and all travel documents. The appeal also claims there is "no basis in fact or law" to justify that Pistorius be supervised by probation or correctional officer. The olympian is currently staying at his uncle's home in a suburb of Pretoria.

ANXIETY

No visit from Dennis Rodman could solve the problems between North and South Korea. South Korea, normally desensitized to the harsh rhetoric from the North, has a heightened sense of anxiety after the recent belligerent tone and action from North Korea—causing some South Koreans to call for the development of their own nuclear weapons. "The third nuclear test was for South Korea what the Cuban missile crisis was for the U.S.," said Han Yong-sup, a professor of security policy at the Korea National Defense University in Seoul. In a recent poll, two thirds of South Koreans advocated for the country's developing its own nuclear arsenal. The new South Korean president, Park Geun-hye, is the daughter of a military strongman who made a name for himself by standing tough against North Korea—and Park's very election reflects the changing attitudes of the country.
