The Daily Beast's Michael Daly on new suspicions about the alleged Boston bomber. Plus, Eli Lake on why the FBI didn't listen to Russia's warning, Christopher Dickey on what pushed the Tsarnaev brothers to violence, and Michael Keller provides a new anatomy of the attacks.

Boston Attacks

With Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev alert, investigators are beginning to piece together the events leading up to last week's tragedy. Tsarnaev reportedly told officials Monday that he and his brother acted alone, and that his brother Tamerlan was the driving force behind the plot, which was religiously motivated. He has also said the bombs were made per instructions found on the Internet. The suspect is unable to talk due to a gunshot wound in his neck, but is communicating via writing.

LIBRARY LAUNCH

The former president is talking about his brother Jeb's White House chances and reuniting with Obama and his presidential predecessors as he opens his library. The Daily Beast's Eleanor Clift on the quietest member of an exclusive club.

TERRORISM

A car bomb exploded outside the French Embassy in Tripoli on Tuesday morning, wounding two guards and completely destroying parts of the building. French President François Hollande said the embassy had been targeted as "all countries in the international community engaged in the fight against terrorism." Libyan Foreign Minister Mohammed Abdel Aziz deemed it a "terrorist attack," but did not indicate who was behind it. No group has yet claimed responsibility. Local residents told the BBC that they did not think the embassy had proper security, with one saying it was a "big mistake" to put the embassy in such a dangerous neighborhood. The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three others were killed in September during an attack on the U.S. consulate.

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS

Time to get those gay-wedding chapels ready, Las Vegas. Nevada moved closer to legalizing gay marriage late Monday with the passing of a resolution that recognizes such nuptials. The resolution removes a provision from the state constitution that declares marriage as being solely between a man and a woman.  Although Las Vegas has a risque reputation, Nevada remains a conservative state with a strong Mormon lobbying presence—meaning that the debate has been fairly charged. The new resolution passed with the support of 11 Democrats and one Republican, although language was included to make sure no religious organization would be forced to perform a gay ceremony.
