Clearwire urges shareholders to accept Dish offer
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Clearwire Corp's board urged shareholders on Wednesday to accept a tender offer from Dish Network Corp over an earlier deal with majority owner Sprint Nextel Corp to buy out the minority shareholders of the wireless service provider.
Gannett to buy Belo for $1.5 billion cash, to assume debt also
(Reuters) - Media company Gannett Co Inc said on Thursday that it agreed to pay $1.5 billion in cash to buy Belo Corp and assume $715 million in debt, giving television company Belo an enterprise value of $2.2 billion.
EDF might take stake in French Rio Tinto aluminum plant: paper
PARIS (Reuters) - French utility EDF could take a stake of up to 40 percent in Rio Tinto's Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne aluminum plants in exchange for agreeing a discount on the electricity it supplies, financial daily Les Echos reported.
