LAND-HUNGRY

Russian experts have started using loaded WWII-era language to talk about a solution to the 'Ukrainian Question' and to advocate controlling parts of the divided country, Oleg Shynkarenko reports. Meanwhile, rumors are already circulating in Ukraine that Russia will invade.

MISSION HOMOPHOBE

The global battle for LGBT rights will not end with rainbow flags in Sochi. American activists are spreading anti-gay propaganda around the world with horrifying success, writes Christopher Dickey. From Jamaica to France, activists warn "what happened in America could happen to you."

DRINK THE KOOL AID

The rage directed at the Super Bowl ad with "America the Beautiful" sung in foreign languages shows some people can't get on board with the future. But here's the thing: America was intended to be a multicultural nation, writes Dean Obeidallah, which is why our Great Seal boasts the phrase "E pluribus Unum," or "Out of many, one."

SYSTEM ERRORS

While President Obama can celebrate the Congressional Budget Office's good news that the deficit is shrinking, the report stresses Obamacare's negative effect on the nation's unemployment. The Affordable Care Act is expected to result in 2 million fewer full-time workers, at least partially due to employers cutting hours. The CBO also estimates a million fewer Americans than anticipated will receive health insurance coverage due to the difficulties with the rollout.

MESSAGE FROM ABOVE

Pope Francis said Tuesday that "unjust social conditions" like unemployment, lack of access to education and health care, can be "considered impending suicide." This type of moral destitution, "which also causes financial ruin, is invariably linked to the spiritual destitution, which we experience when we turn away from God and reject his love." Good news though: "The Gospel is the real antidote to spiritual destitution."
