Despair.com - Bringing New Meanings - and Laughs - to Management Concepts

Kudos to our friends at the great site Despair.com (http://www.despair.com/) (and yes, they sell cool stuff, too)! Here's the results of their latest make=up a caption for these pics, and their contributors outdid themselves. See below for a LOL moment!

If you haven't checked their website before, they have a great collection of products - and their videos are great too. Not a shill for them, just really think they do cool takes on stuff! Even BP!

The Legacy picture really got me. It's so true that we have very little time to make our impression on this world, but so many people do it. There are lots of inventors and businessmen that our children will learn about that have been taught for as far back as our grandparents. How can we make history? I wonder sometimes if inventions will ever stop...are we going to run out of ideas or song lyrics. I just hope to make my mark on this place even if only one person remembers it!

These pictures are very creative. The acquisitions photo grasp my attention. I got the understanding that the big fish will always be a protection for the little fish.

It makes you wonder, is the big fish really going to swallow the little fish or it is going to be the protector of the little fish. The legacy photograph is beautiful and the caption underneath makes you think, will we still have that beauty at the end of our lifetime.

I love the legacy caption. I never thought of things that way but it's true that there is limited time create an impact on the world. Most of the time, we as people, have to follow up on other's work before we obtain a goal.

Haha The Legacy caption cracked me up. I am so concerned and worried about making it big in my future and becoming a great person. I better get started and work a little faster.

This is great. I recently went to the grand canyon, and its even more breathtaking than that picture. I loved the BP shirts, they are great.

It took me a little bit to realize that the bigger fish was a bigger fish, at first look I thought it was a big lizard. I then read the caption underneath and I laughed my butt off. I wonder how that little fish was put into the big fish’s mouth. Overall, these two captions are great concepts.

Cool pics. The legacy one is a great picture. I think the BP pics are a bit much though.

I like the pictures so I went to the website and there are all kinds of funny and ironic pictures with a witty caption. I like the BP shirt because at some point you have to be able to laugh at the situation, what else can we do? Having a sense of humor about it is best. The legacy picture definitely gets you thinking though because we really only have so much time to make a name for ourselves and decide on what we want to do.

In the Acquisition photo, I thought the big fish was a lizard as well. Poor little fish, he seemed to be saying "Oh nooo". LOL

Legacy was simply breathtaking! Loved the caption also.

The legacy photo brought back memories. My late grandfather wore a hat around a lot with "you are looking at a legend" written on it. The picture made me think what will people think of me around 50 years from now.

These pictures are great. The BP pictures are pretty funny and pretty accurate. I really like the legacy picture, it really makes you think you only have a certain amount of time to make a name for yourself and do something with your life.

These pictures are really good and creative. I especially liked the legacy picture, really lets one know that they only have a limited amount of time.

I love this fish picture! It is so cute but it's a little sad seeing that poor fish getting eaten. The BP ad is funny also! They are definitely bringing oil to the shores.

My favorite is the small fish, in a big fish comment. Different way of thinking about it, and I will be passing the idea along to my friends and family.

The two pictures do go together because BP will be remembered for the oil spill for the life time of the corporation. It is crazy how short life really is and what we do in our lifetime will be remembered by others.

The legacy pic takes my breath way. Nature and the sunrise are so beautiful. I'm alittle freaked out about the aquisition pic. That fish looks scary...

I really like the legacy picture and concept it let me know that we dont always have alot of time to make our mark so we have to do it in the time that we do have.

DLD said...

Take it easy, that fish isn't scary. Working at one company for a decade and then realizing they have enough cash on hand (on the balance sheet) to be bought with their own money........that's scary.

I really liked all of them. However, the legacy picture really got my attention. We really don’t have the long to accomplish everything. Really liked the BP saying, it was so true.

I like the Acquisition picture. I guess it a fish eat fish world. The legacy post is cool too, it make good sense. But the acquisition took most of my attention. It could mean vary of things. Maybe it saying don’t trust your friends because they will eat you up or it could be saying I’ll protect you.
