From Alison Doyle, your Guide to Job Searching
Looking for a part time job? Interested in a flexible schedule? Running out of unemployment? Want to earn some extra money for the holidays? Now is the time to be job searching, because companies are hiring for the holiday season.

Holiday Hiring Up
Target is hiring seasonal workers for both stores and distribution centers with plans for hiring more than the 92,000 seasonal workers it hired last year. Other retailers are gearing up for holiday hiring, too. Kohl's is looking for 40,000 people and JC Penney is planning to hire 35,000 extra employees.

Online Career Advisors
There are many options for getting career advice and resume and cover letter writing help online. It's a time saving way to get career assistance, but it's important to choose the right counseling or resume writing service so you are sure you are receiving qualified and quality assistance.

Resume Templates
A resume template can help if your resume needs writing or rewriting. It's always useful to review resume templates and samples when you are writing your resume, so you can get an idea of what a resume should (and could) look like.

References, Recommendations and Background Checks
Reference checks, character, reference and recommendation letters, sample recommendation letters, using references, background checks and related resources.
