Let's move ... due to sugar shock -- TheDC's Caroline May reports on Michelle Obama's inconvenient marketing agency:
"The marketing agency that worked on first lady Michelle Obama’s 'Let’s Move' campaign to combat childhood obesity is now pushing a sugary drink on teens. SS+K boasts on its website that 'we worked with Michelle Obama and her childhood obesity initiative, helping guide the research, shape the initiative and we gave it its name and identity.' In late May, Kraft announced that it had partnered with SS+K to promote its new, sugary 'Capri Sun Big Pouch.' The new, limited-time “Capri Sun Big Pouch” product contains 33 grams of sugar and is meant for teens ages 14-17, Bridget MacConnell, senior manager of corporate affairs at Kraft Foods, told The Daily Caller. The 11.2 ounce pouch is 10 percent juice."

Ethnic Fraudster -- That's what one Harvard alum is calling former Harvard Law professor and Democratic Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren for claiming she was a Native American. TheDC's Alex Pappas reports:
"In a Monday post on the Indian Country Today Media Network, Margo (Kickingbird) DeLaune and Cole DeLaune wrote that they are 'profoundly disturbed' by the story. 'Over the course of the past month, facts have come to attention that leave little doubt that the [Harvard Law School] bureaucracy and professor Warren perpetrated nothing less than ethnic fraud,' they wrote. DeLaune, a lifelong Democrat, is enrolled with the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma and is a graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education. The post is titled 'We should denounce the conduct of Harvard and Elizabeth Warren.'" | 3.) Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio Matt Labash? -- For well over a month, The Daily Caller's Ask Matt Labash column has been MIA. But today Labash is back and is ready to explain what he's been doing:
"Kicking ass. Taking names. Handing those names over to Homeland Security, as a patriot/hero in the War on Terror. Taking personal inventory. Realizing I was overstocked on ennui, while clean out of ambition. Looking at the man in the mirror. Wondering why he had a beard. Realizing that I had an intruder. Calling the authorities. Raising dyslexia awareness. Or 'raising awareness dyslexia,' as we in the dyslexic community say. Volunteering at church. Organizing food drives. Eating the canned peaches from said drives. Because feeding myself helps take the obsessive focus off of other people, and helps get it back on me, where it belongs."
And on and on he goes. We'll see if his explanation holds up in court. That's where he'll have to explain his absence to the families of his legions of fans who have filed suit because their loved ones depended on his weekly advice column for a reason to trudge on through life's daily indignities for one more agonizing week. Now they're dead. Maybe Matt should think next time before he takes such a prolonged absence --- though, in TheDC's Morning's mind, this piece absolves him of everything. | 4.) Eric Holder's coming to town -- That is, if you consider Congress its own town, which we at The Daily Caller certainly do. TheDC's Matthew Boyle reports that the attorney general is likely to get a less than warm reception:
"When Attorney General Eric Holder will testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, he will likely face a barrage of questions about the pending threat of contempt proceedings over what the House oversight committee has called a failure to comply with a subpoena related to Operation Fast and Furious. Oversight chairman Rep. Darrell Issa announced Monday that he plans to hold a contempt of Congress vote on Holder next Wednesday. Presuming that vote proceeds along party lines, it will make it to the House floor; Speaker John Boehner said almost immediately that he supports contempt proceedings if Holder does not fully comply with the subpoena Issa issued in October 2011." | | 5.)
