Michael Steele lowers the BOOM! -- SEX scandal! Sex SCANDAL! SEX SCANDAL! --  Post-Obama Democrats -- Now it's time to forget what the president said during the election -- Tweet of Yesterday -- Today in North Korean News
1.) Michael Steele lowers the BOOM!  -- Michael Steele is defending his tenure as RNC chair, especially in light of last Tuesday's election debacle for the GOP. TheDC's Alex Pappas reports:

"Michael Steele has a message for those who continue to criticize his tenure as Republican National Committee chairman: at least Republicans won when I led the national party. It’s a veiled shot at current RNC chairman Reince Priebus, who is often praised for his fundraising and organizational skills, even as the Republican Party failed to retake the presidency and the U.S. Senate this year. ... 'The DNC has, what, $15 million debt? Have you guys looked into that? Chairman [Debbie Wasserman-Schultz} has a $15 million line of credit. And she won. I had a $15 million line of credit and I won. But everyone treats that as if that’s a negative.'"
2.) SEX scandal! Sex SCANDAL! SEX SCANDAL!  -- Since America likes nothing better than a sex scandal, the wall-to-wall coverage of Petraeus-gate continues. TheDC's Caroline May has the latest:

"The FBI raided the home of former CIA Director David Petraeus’ biographer and mistress, Paula Broadwell, Monday evening. At least four FBI agents entered Broadwell’s Dilworth neighborhood home in Charlotte, N.C., carrying boxes used for storing papers, according to an early report from The Charlotte Observer. ... Sources told ABC News that the agents were looking into the possibility that there was classified material in the home. They added the search was consensual and had been arranged in advance by Broadwell’s lawyers, ostensibly to show Petraeus’ mistress has nothing to hide."

Meanwhile, an explosive article published at the WashingtonPost.com mere hours ago reports that the sex scandal investigation has spread to U.S. Commander in Afghanistan Gen. John Allen. The saddest part of all of this, of course, is that it takes a sex scandal for anyone in the media to talk about the Afghan war.
3.) Post-Obama Democrats -- It's never too early to talk about 2016, at least for a political news site. TheDC's Jamie Weinstein provides a list of 12 potential Democratic presidential contenders for 2016, including the leading candidate, Hillary Clinton:

"It was supposed to be hers in 2008, but Barack Obama came from nowhere to rip the nomination from her hands. Now Clinton stands as arguably the most popular member of Obama's administration (we'll see if the Benghazi investigations tarnish her reputation). A poll taken after last Tuesday's presidential election gives Hillary a decisive edge in Iowa, though if early polls meant a lot a Nexis search for 'President Giuliani' would yield many more results than it does. Or a search for 'President Hillary Clinton' for that matter."

Check out the rest.
4.) Now it's time to forget what the president said during the election -- Let the backtracking begin. The Daily Caller News Foundation's Michael Bastasch reports:

"On Friday, the Obama administration’s Bureau of Land Management announced it was opening up 677,000 acres for oil shale drilling in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming, and also 130,000 for tar sands activities in Utah. However, in doing so, the administration has closed off 1.6 million acres originally slated for shale development, reports the Hill, despite the president touting his record of expanding oil drilling on federal lands during the campaign."
5.) Tweet of Yesterday -- Noah Pollak: What if it turned out Petraeus was supplying Lance Armstrong with steroids?
6.) Today in North Korean News -- BREAKING: "Title of Labor Hero Conferred Upon Women of Merits"
