China has sentenced more than 1,400 people to prison terms for underground money lending. The jailing comes as part of a crackdown on informal financing practices by Chinese businesses.

South Korea to withdraw workers from North Korea's Kaesong complex
South Korea has said it will withdraw its remaining workers from the Kaesong industrial zone in North Korea. It comes after Pyongyang rejected an offer for talks aimed at ending a standoff over the jointly-run complex.
