Seven Missing after Texas Tornados Seven people are still missing following at least 16 devastating tornados that hit North Texas, Wednesday, killing six. According to a survey team evaluating the damage, at least one of the twisters was an EF4—the second-most dangerous class of tornado. It was that lethal tornado which was responsible for all of Wednesday's deaths, destroying an entire neighborhood in Granbury, Texas and stripping homes—most of which had been built by Habitat for Humanity—off the ground. Dozens Killed in Mosque Explosion Dozens of people were killed Friday after two large explosions rocked Iraq outside of a Sunni Mosque in Baquba—50 miles north of Baghdad. The twin explosions were set off right as worshippers at the Saria mosque were leaving a prayer ceremony. The attack is just the latest incident in a string of violent attacks against Sunni and Shia religious sites. Just one day previous, 12 people were killed after a bomb erupted at the entrance to a Shia place of worship in Kirkuk. Read it at Reuters ON THE CASE 5. Congress: Were We Duped by the IRS? Lawmakers are determined to get to the bottom of how, exactly, the IRS ended up applying extra scrutiny to conservative groups requesting tax-exempt status. But first they want to know why they were kept in the dark about this practice for so long—despite attempts to intervene. Over the past few years, Congress had actually made multiple inquiries to the IRS, with little success, in response to complaints from conservative groups that they'd experienced long delays and were asked to answer unusually detailed questions as they attempted to declare tax exemption. Recently ousted IRS chief Steven Miller will be questioned during the House Ways and Means Committee's first hearing on the matter, set to take place Friday.
