DOUBLE STANDARD

New revelations about the Texas gubernatorial candidate's family life have prompted frenzied—and just plain wrong—denunciations from conservatives. The right subjects Wendy Davis to litmus tests no male would ever face, writes Kirsten Powers.

OFF SCRIPT

The speaker of the House let rip at Vladimir Putin, Chris Christie, and his Republican colleagues in Congress when he took a seat on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Thursday. It was Boehner as we've never seen him before.

SNIFF THIS

How one pharmaceutical company could become the safest and most trusted of all cannabis dealers with a cannabis nasal spray. For one, it's not a plant—it's marketing. It's a plant-based pharmaceutical drug that has been rigorously tested by science.

ANNIVERSARY ATTACK

At least six people are dead and roughly 50 wounded after a car bomb tore through the main Egyptian police headquarters in Cairo Friday. Hours after the initial attack came two other explosions, one targeting police vehicles and another a police center. The outburst falls just one day before the anniversary of the 2011 revolt, which led to the toppling of former President Hosni Mubarak. As of Friday morning, no one had claimed responsibility for the attack.

SUICIDE

Ryan Loskarn, 35, the former chief of staff to Republican Senator Lamar Alexander who was charged last month for possessing and distributing child pornography, was found dead in his home yesterday. The police believe that Loskarn committed suicide at his home in Maryland. Loskarn was fired the same day his house was raided by federal agents. "For everyone involved, this is a sad and tragic story from beginning to end," Senator Lamar Alexander said Friday.
