Yahoo Japan to buy eAccess from SoftBank for $3.2 billion
TOKYO (Reuters) - Yahoo Japan Corp said on Thursday that it would buy mobile and broadband provider eAccess Ltd from its parent SoftBank Corp for 324 billion yen ($3.17 billion) in a bid to expand its services for tablets and smartphones.

(Reuters) - La Quinta Holdings Inc will raise as much as $780 million from its initial public offering, as it becomes the third hotel chain to be taken public by Blackstone Group LP in six months.

India's Lupin to buy eye treatment drugmaker in Mexico
MUMBAI (Reuters) - Lupin Ltd , India's No. 4 drugmaker by revenue, said on Thursday it has agreed to buy eye-treatments maker Laboratorios Grin S.A. De C.V for an undisclosed amount, moving into Mexico's $275 million ophthalmic market.
Universal calls off deal with Century on Manila casino project
TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's Universal Entertainment Corp has terminated a deal under which Century Properties Group Inc was to invest in its casino complex on Manila Bay and develop part of the $2-billion project, the Philippine developer said.
Russia's Bashneft buys small oil firm for more than $1 billion
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian oil producer Bashneft , owned by oil-to-telecoms holding Sistema , said on Thursday it had acquired oil firm Burneftegaz, which has assets in Western Siberia, in a deal worth more than $1 billion, including debt.
