From Alison Doyle, your Guide to Job Searching
Despite the fact that some people will tell you that cover letters are a waste of time, and I've heard a couple of people say that recently, they are as important as ever.

Why You Need a Cover Letter
During the radio show I was on yesterday, we took a call from a hiring manager who told me that because she is hiring for an entry level teaching position all the resumes are just about the same. It's a level playing field until a cover letter comes into play and the cover letter is what determines who gets the interview.

Who's Better at Networking?
LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network with more than 100 million members, has released data on the differences between men and women when it comes to networking professionally online. I was a little surprised at the results.

Get Your Job Search References in Order
When you're applying for jobs you are probably going to be asked for a list of references. In some cases, you'll be asked for references when you apply for a job rather than further along in the application process.

Interview Questions
Job interviews are always stressful - even for job seekers who have gone on countless interviews. The best way to reduce the stress is to be prepared. Take the time to review the "standard" interview questions you will most likely be asked. Also review sample answers to these typical interview questions.
