{Special goodies} Two no-cost things to help your business

Hi David!

l am excited to share two things with you today that could ease your mind and/or pocketbooks:

1) Convert more!

On Monday, August 1 at 10am Pacific/1pm Eastern
, I am hosting a webinar with good buddy Jonathan Mead, who will be sharing what he has learned about creating offers that actually sell. There is nothing more heartbreaking than putting tons of effort and energy into designing a product or program, only to see anemic sales, or no sales at all.

Jonathan fits in what has been deemed the Third Tribe perspective -- he has tons of smarts about internet-based business, persuasion and marketing, but his moral and social compass points to doing business in an ethical way that builds community and good will.

Your offer is really everything - it's the foundation of your entire business, and can make or break you. When this is aligned, everything just works. When it's not, no matter how hard you work, little or nothing happens.

This webinar is no cost, and Jonathan will cover great information so you can tweak your sales pages yourself. He will also share other ways to work with him if you want more help. But in a very non-pushy way. :)

2) Write off more business expenses

My good friends  Nick Reese and Kyle Durand have just released a business card sized tax table which takes 1,000 pages of obscure tax code and synthesizes it into very simple rules that will help you decide what is tax deductible and what isn't. Kyle is my resident uber-smarty pants post-doctorate tax attorney who revels in making complex tax laws clean, lean and simple. Nick has already built multiple businesses and is only in his mid-twenties. I spent 30 minutes at a get-together in Harlem being blown away by Nick's plans for the next stage of his business (don't tell him I didn't understand about 40% of what he was talking about -- I feigned understanding, because I knew it was really smart).

I am heading to California next week for some long-awaited time with my family. Enjoy your week!
