BREAKING NEWS: Bernanke Repeats That Fed Is Ready to Act

In a speech to the Minnesota Economic Club Thursday afternoon, Fed chief Ben Bernanke repeated that the Fed has a range of ways to provide more monetary stimulus, which the FOMC will discuss at its next meeting later this month. He also said that household spending is unusually weak, and that inflation remains subdued.
