BREAKING NEWS: U.S. Economy Adds 103,000 Jobs in September

The Labor Department reports nonfarm payrolls increased by 103,000 in September, blowing past estimates of 60,000. The figure reflected the return of 45,000 Verizon employees to payrolls after striking in August; excluding them, payrolls rose by 58,000. The jobless rate held steady at 9.1% as expected.
