BREAKING NEWS: U.S. Retail Sales Rise in December

U.S. retail sales rose 0.1% in December from November, missing estimates of a 0.3% increase. Excluding the auto component, sales were down 0.2% on the month. Economists had been expecting a gain of 0.3%.
