BREAKING NEWS: U.S. Economy Adds 243K Jobs in January; Jobless Rate Falls to 8.3%

The Labor Department reports nonfarm payrolls increased by 243,000 in January, blowing past estimates of 150,000 jobs created and marking the largest increase since April 2011. The unemployment rate fell to 8.3%, the lowest rate since February 2009, from 8.5% the month prior. U.S. stock-index futures rallied on the report.
