The Lakers Are The NBA's Most Valuable Franchise By A Huge Margin

Forbes.com has released its annual list of the NBA team values, and thanks to a huge new television deal, the Los Angeles Lakers surged to the front of the pack.

Last year, the Lakers were valued at $643 million. But after inking a new TV deal worth $200 million per year, the Lakers are now worth $900 million, a jump of 40.0%. The New York Knicks, who were the most valuable team a year ago ($655M), had the third highest jump in value, to $780 million, an increase of 19.1%. The Golden State Warriors, now the eighth most valuable team, jumped 24.0% to $450 million.
