Has Egypt's president been ousted? As the military's deadline passes and protesters pack into Tahrir Square, an opposition spokesperson tells The Daily Beast's Mike Giglio that Morsi is under house arrest and talks are under way to form a transitional government. Meanwhile, tanks are reportedly rolling through the streets of Cairo. Follow the latest developments, including videos and photos from the scene, on our live blog.

Maybe don't use Skype to testify in a nationally televised trial. A witness testifying in the George Zimmerman murder trial was repeatedly interrupted by pranksters who dialed in after the witness's Skype name was broadcast. Scott Pleasants, who teaches a class on criminal investigation, called in from Colorado, but the public quickly figured out his Skype line and started calling him. It was one of the lighter moments of the trial as the noises and pop-ups led to laughter in the courtroom. Pleasants had to use his cellphone to finish his testimony.

Ecuador's ambassador to the United Kingdom said on Wednesday that a suspicious microphone was found in its embassy, where WikiLeaks' Julian Assange has been camped out for more than a year. Ana Alban told reporters that it's not clear who planted the bug or how long it's been there, but that the microphone is being examined by experts. The bug was said to be found in Alban's office. Assange has been staying at the embassy to avoid extradition to Sweden.

On issues ranging from capital requirements to leverage ratios, federal regulators are beginning to move to curb the systemic risk posed by the nation's largest banks. Beginning next week regulators are expected to raise equity requirements to 5 percent or 6 percent. In addition, the Federal Reserve is likely to set requirements for long-term debt and surcharges and capital requirements for volatile short-term funding. After much lobbying and outcry, substantial exceptions are expected to be made for small banks.
