TABOO

If you accidentally misspell "abomasum" or "margrave" in a text message, Apple's spell-check software will jump in and offer a correction. But goof on "abortion" or "suicide" by just one letter, and you're on your own. The Daily Beast's Michael Keller on the surprising hot-button words your iPhone won't go near.

ON TRIAL

It's the largest leak case in American history, but the press and public may still be shut out of the crucial phases of Bradley Manning's sentencing. Alexa O'Brien reports from Fort Meade, Maryland, on the WikiLeaks trial.

Progress

The Senate may have averted a showdown over the filibuster, with both Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Sen. John McCain saying they've reached a deal that will allow votes on some of President Obama's nominees, provided Obama replace two nominees to the National Labor Relations Board. The White House has yet to agree to the proposal. Reid had been threatening to change Senate rules to allow presidential nominees to be confirmed with a mere 51 votes, rather than the 60 needed to overcome a filibuster threat, a tactic referred to as the "nuclear option." If the two NLRB nominees are pulled, the Senate would vote on five other nominees, including Richard Cordray for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Gina McCarthy as EPA administrator.

WHO AM I?

This can happen outside Bourne Identity and Days of Our Lives? A Florida man woke up in Palm Springs, California, with no memory of his past and speaking only Swedish. The 61-year-old Michael Boatwright, found unconscious in a Motel 6 in February, believes his name is Johan Ek and has no memory of his two ex-wives or his son. Nor does he remember how to exchange money or use public transportation. He has only $180 and a few Chinese bank accounts, but the only one he can access has $7 in it. Doctors call the phenomenon transient global amnesia, which is triggered by physical or emotional trauma and can last for months.

BACKPEDAL

What a difference a day makes. Less than 24 hours after literary agent Sharlene Martin announced she would be representing the juror designated as B37, the anonymous woman has scrapped her plans for a memoir about her role in the high-profile trial of George Zimmerman. She was among the six jurors that arrived at a not guilty verdict on Saturday night. Responding to widespread criticism, juror B37 wrote that the book would have been "a respectful observation of the trial from my and my husband's perspectives solely." In her statement, she acknowledged that being sequestered had shielded her "from the depth of pain that exists among the general public over every aspect of this case."
