MOSCOW (Reuters) - BP will press ahead and sell a stake in its Russian venture, a source close to the company said, despite a threat by its billionaire partners to block a deal that could pave the way for the Kremlin to cement its dominance over the country's vast energy sector.
Group seeking to buy EFG Hermes to appeal to regulator
CAIRO (Reuters) - Shareholders of Egyptian investment bank EFG-Hermes voted on Saturday against a group of investors seeking to buy the bank, but the investors will appeal to Egypt's regulator to suspend the decision, the group targeting the bank said.

(Reuters) - Health insurer WellPoint Inc plans to buy contact-lens and eyewear retailer 1-800 Contacts Inc for a transaction value close to $900 million, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.

MUMBAI (Reuters) - U.S. private equity firm Warburg Pincus LLC has agreed to buy a controlling stake in Indian financial services company Future Capital Holdings for 5.5 billion rupees ($98.8 million), a source with direct knowledge said on Monday.

Saudi's Maaden receives commitments for $1.87 billion loan
JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia (Reuters) - Saudi Arabian Mining Company (MAADEN) has received bank commitments for its 7 billion riyal ($1.87 billion) Murabaha revolver loan with a tenure of five years, the firm said in a statement to the bourse on Saturday.
