This is Bilderberg ... This is your brain on Bilderberg  -- Warren never going to give up -- Fight of the Century?  -- An American original  -- Poll of the Day: Americans like Michelle Obama  -- Tweet of Yesterday
1.) This is Bilderberg ... This is your brain on Bilderberg -- Led by conspiracy weaver Alex Jones, legions of lunatics, the ill-informed and the misled --- some of them quite nice --- the masses descended on Chantilly, Virginia last weekend to protest this year's Bilderberg meeting. The secretive meeting, according to the protesters, is supposedly working on creating a one-world government and will stop at nothing to achieve it. Never mind that Peter Thiel, Ron Paul's largest donor, and historian Niall Ferguson, a vocal opponent of the European Union, were listed as being among the attendees. Or the reports from those who attended Bilderberg meetings in the past describing them as little more than inane. No, let's not allow reality to get in the way of fantasy. Not that it wouldn't be nice to see what was discussed (of course it would). In any case, TheDC's Jamie Weinstein (ME!) visited the mob to have some fun. Watch the video.

Also worth viewing is how Alex Jones' genteel friends treated TheDC's Michelle Fields when she tried to report from the event.

2.) Warren never going to give up  -- Despite providing no evidence of her supposed Native American ancestry, Elizabeth Warren doubled down again Friday that she was of American-Indian heritage. TheDC's Alex Pappas reports:

"Democratic Massachusetts U.S. Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren isn’t backing down from her claims of Native American heritage, telling a Fox television affiliate in Boston that she would be the state’s first senator with Indian blood if she were to defeat Republican Sen. Scott Brown in November. Asked by FOX 25′s Sharman Sacchetti on Friday if she would be Massachusetts’ first Native American senator, Warren responded: 'I would be their first senator — so far as I know — who has Native American heritage.'"

Perhaps everything's been just one big misunderstanding. Perhaps Warren's mother didn't say that the family had Indian heritage, but that her daughter Lizzy could be anything she wanted to be when she grew up. And perhaps what Elizabeth Warren wanted to be more than anything else was Native American.
3.) Fight of the Century?  -- Not by a long shot. In a new book, reporter Daniel Klaidman writes that Attorney General Eric Holder and David Axelrod almost engaged in a heated game of fisticuffs after a Cabinet meeting because Axelrod was inflamed by reports that Holder was telling people he was intruding into Justice Department business. TheDC's Jamie Weinstein (ME!) reports:

"But Holder, Klaidman writes, didn’t take the verbal assault well: 'Holder did not appreciate being publicly dressed down by the president’s most senior political adviser. Determined to stand his ground against Tammany Hall, the A.G. ripped into him in full view of other White House staffers. ‘That’s bullshit,’ he replied vehemently. The two men stood chest to chest. It was like a school yard fight back at their shared alma mater, Stuyvesant, the elite public high school for striving kids from New York City.' Ultimately, Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett stepped in to break things up."

If Obama's campaign offered the fight up for pay-for-view, it could probably raise quite a hefty sum for the re-election coffers.
4.) An American original  -- TheDC's Caroline May interviews the great Zuhdi Jasser about his new book:

"In a book that he said would have found him 'dead in several months if [he] had published it in Iran or Syria,' American Islamic Forum for Democracy president Zuhdi Jasser grapples with the internal problems plaguing Islam. 'I have been fighting political Islam my whole life,' Jasser, a devout Muslim and the son of Syrian immigrants, told The Daily Caller. His new book, 'Battle for the Soul of Islam: An American Muslim Patriot’s Fight to Save his Faith,' deals with the ongoing conflict between freedom-loving moderate Muslims and political Islam."
5.) Poll of the Day: Americans like Michelle Obama  -- USA Today/Gallup Poll on first lady Michelle Obama's favorability: 66% favorable, 27% unfavorable, 6% unsure. This compares well with past first ladies. Hillary Clinton averaged 56% during her years as first lady, while Laura Bush's averaged 73%. But Laura Bush registered her lowest favorability with Gallup -- 63% -- around the same time in her husband's term as this poll was taken in President Obama's.
6.) Tweet of Yesterday  -- Noah Pollak: Today is "Queen's Jubilee" or as it's known among thinking people, "Make Fun of Monarchy Day"

As the Court considers the health care law, it is important to consider The Link between market reforms and the mandate. Severing the individual mandate from the rest of the law means higher premiums, less competition among insurance companies, and a rise in the uninsured.
