Hertz to buy car hire rival Dollar Thrifty for $2.3 billion
(Reuters) - Hertz Global Holdings , the No. 2. U.S. car rental company, said it will buy smaller rival Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group for about $2.3 billion, ending more than two years of on-off takeover talks.
IAC acquires About.com from New York Times Company
(Reuters) - Media mogul Barry Diller's IAC said on Sunday that its Ask.com unit has acquired information website About.com from the New York Times Company for $300 million in cash.
TPC Group to be taken private in $627.2 million deal

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australian miner Sundance Resources on Monday accepted a $1.4 billion takeover offer from Hanlong Group, a fifth less than previously agreed, after the Chinese company sought a lower acquisition price following a slide in Sundance's shares and prices of iron ore.

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - Turkish airports operator TAV Havalimanlari Holding aims to complete the purchase of the remaining 35 percent of its Havas ground handling services unit soon, Chief Executive Sani Sener said on Monday.

PTT offers $960 million to buy out Sakari to increase coal assets
BANGKOK/SINGAPORE (Reuters) - PTT , Thailand's top energy company, has offered to buy out Singapore-listed Sakari Resources Ltd for $960 million as the oil and gas firm expands into coal to meet rising regional demand for the fuel.
