Echoing George Clooney, President Obama said Sony "made a mistake" in pulling The Interview following what the FBI says was North Korea's hacking attack. "We cannot have a society in which some dictator someplace can start imposing censorship here in the United States," he said, later adding, "I wish they had spoken to me first." Obama added that Kim Jong Un is "someone whose sensibilities... need to be offended" and that there is "no indication that North Korea was acting in junction with another country." In response to the cyberattack, Obama said the United States "will respond proportionally in a place and time and manner that we choose."
