In the run up to its IPO, the company Facebook is most often compared to is Google. While they're both booming Internet companies, from a business perspective, the comparison is terrible.

In this chart you can see Facebook's revenue growth is significantly weaker than Google's in the four quarters leading up to each company's IPO. (Facebook's revenue growth is worse than Zynga and LinkedIn, as well. Susquehanna put together this bunch of consumer web companies to give investors some context.)
