Get Your Resume to the Top of the Pile

Unlike when the economy was stronger, many people have not had great success in landing decent jobs. It's not easy even for excellent candidates, but there are some strategies that will help your resume rise to the top of the applicant pile and be seen by recruiters and hiring managers.

The key is to focus on what would make you a better candidate than your competitors for the desired position. This includes your critical skills not held by your competitors, quotes from customers or your latest performance review, and evidence that you not only have the experience required for the job, but that you excel at it.

Welcome to Simply Hired's job seeker newsletter, with tips to help you land your next job.
