BREAKING NEWS: European Anxiety Slams Wall Street

Stocks are falling sharply minutes after the opening bell amid rising worries over Greece's ability to settle negotiations necessary to stave off a default that could deal a blow to Europe's financial system. The Dow is off 100 points, or 0.79%, and the broader S&P 500 is down 1%. Meanwhile, the euro is lower by close to 1% to $1.3089.
