BREAKING NEWS: NY Fed Manufacturing Index Plummets

The NY Fed's Empire State survey, a key reading on the health of the manufacturing sector, fell sharply in June, to -7. 8. Economists had been expecting a reading closer to 12. New orders also fell. Stock futures headed lower on the news.
