Read it at The Daily Beast Wanted 2. $10M Bounty on Pakistani Militant The U.S. is offering $10 million for the capture or information leading to the capture of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, the founder of the Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba, which was responsible for the 2008 Mumbai attacks. His brother-in-law and cofounder has a $2 million bounty. India hailed the bounty as a sign of “the commitment of India and the United States to bring the perpetrators of the Mumbai terrorist attack to justice and continuing efforts to combat terrorism.” Read it at BBC CHILLING 3. Oakland Shooting: ‘Execution-Style’ One L. Goh, a 43-year-old former Oikos University student, was arrested Monday as the suspected shooter in a rampage at the small religious Oakland school that killed seven people and wounded three others. Police said the students were lined up against the classroom wall and then shot, one by one, in what Oakland Police chief Howard Jordan described as “execution-style.” “This was a calculated, cold-blooded execution in the classroom,” Jordan said. After the shooting, the suspect drove off in a student’s car. Police believe the suspect was angry at the school for dismissing him. Read it at CNN WISCONSIN 4. Santorum’s Last Stand Mitt Romney is riding high going into tonight’s primaries, holding commanding leads in Wisconsin, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. The frontrunner has little to gain from his expected win, having outright predicted victory, but a loss would wound him and give new life to Rick Santorum, says Ben Jacobs. Read it at The Daily Beast HISTORIC 5. Colombian Rebels Release Hostages The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia (FARC) freed 10 soldiers and police officers Monday. The group claimed that these individuals, who had all been held for at least 12 years, were the last captives they were holding. A Red Cross spokeswoman said that the released captives would be arriving on a Brazilian air-force helicopter emblazoned with the organization’s logo.
